Individual Planning

Through an Individual Planning Process Flowercart employees assess clients' skills and knowledge and assist them in setting goals that will challenge them to develop the skills necessary for increased autonomy and personal growth.

We work closely with residential agencies, families and advocates to help clients meet goals in areas such as health (both mental and physical), personal development, interpersonal relationships, community access and work.

As frequently as possible, we encourage and support clients to access the resources available in the community. These resources may include, but are not limited to: obtaining financial assistance, individual counselling, recreation, education and residential support.

In the 1990's we began working more closely with local School Board personnel by hosting work experience placements and participating in formal school-to-work/community transition planning for those students preparing to leave high school.
