Hodge Podge Arts & Crafts Studio What do we do? Hodge Podge crafters produce a range of different sizes of Hodge Podge blankets - Lap Quilts, Couch Throws, Twins, Doubles, and Queens made from 8" x 8" squares. We also make pillow shams, pet beds, and stadium blankets. Our Hodge Podge blankets were inspired by the traditional quilts found in the old family homesteads of Nova Scotia. A "recycled" product, the blankets are made from squares cut from clean, top-quality, second-hand, cotton corduroy clothing. The squares are machine-sewn together. The blankets have a quallow batting in the middle to add warmth and body. They are backed with cotton and hand-tufted to keep the front and back together. A bias-cut binding pulls it all together. The end result is a unique product that combines practicality with the rustic look of a heritage blanket.
Please note that because our blankets are all hand-made and one-of-a-kind, sizes given are approximate. Personalize your Hodge Podge product with embroidered names, dates or logos. Prices for embroidery vary but are usually less than $10 extra to the cost of the blanket. Taxes, shipping, insurance and handling are extra. Allow eight weeks from ordering to delivery.
