Volunteer Opportunities
Flowercart is welcoming to volunteers: both people with disabilities and those without. We also regularly host students, and others, on work experience placement. Volunteer applicants must go through a screening process, inclusive of a criminal records check.

A list of possible volunteer opportunities at Flowercart includes:
General
- Develop a volunteer recruitment, orientation, tracking, and recognition program for Flowercart
- Assist with various painting projects in our two locations
- Help aging participants with one-on-one activities
Developmental Services Area
- Teach groups of participants in specific areas of interest; assertiveness, self esteem, grief and loss, etc.
Note: Almost all Flowercart activities take place during the week day.
If you are interested in volunteering with adults considered intellectually disabled in the evening or on the weekend Terry is quite knowledgeable about other services in our area that host volunteers, e.g., Special Olympics, People First. Please contact her for information.
