2. Provision of contract labour

  • Contract employees work under the supervision of a Flowercart employee, and are covered by Flowercart’s workers compensation and commercial general liability insurance while at your work site
  • You negotiate the hourly rate you pay
  • Flowercart bills you at the end of each month for the work completed in the month. You only write one cheque! Flowercart pays the workers.

4. Hosting Transition to work clients on work experience

  • The goal of Flowercart’s Transition-to-Work project is to help clients enter the workforce. The way that it does this is by placing clients on work experience placements with employers. Job Coaches can be provided to assist clients with on-the-job training and any additional support required. The clients are paid minimum wage through the project for the time spent on work experience – there is no cost to the employer.

5. Follow-along support

Once you have hired a Flowercart client to work for you we continue to help both you and your employee.

  • Information, advice and on-the-job assistance. Job Coaches are provided (at no expense to the employer) to assist clients with on-the-job training and give any additional support required.
  • Work performance evaluations
  • Retraining or upgrading training
  • Assistance when changes occur in the work place (for example, when there are changes in the work environment – maybe new technologies or processes are brought in, or team members change)
  • Support, encouragement and advice to client/employee
